Musk to Donate $100 Million to Trump-Linked Groups Amid Tesla Woes

Elon Musk plans to donate $100 million to groups tied to US President Donald Trump’s political network, The New York Times reported. His decision follows Trump’s purchase of Tesla vehicles, which briefly boosted shares amid declining sales and criticism over Musk’s ties to the administration.

Discussions between Musk’s associates and the White House suggest the donation will go to a Trump-affiliated group rather than Musk’s own America PAC. The billionaire has already contributed $288 million to support Trump and other Republicans in the 2024 elections, making him the largest political donor.

Tesla has suffered financial losses due to vandalism at its facilities, driven by backlash against Musk’s political activities, including his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In response, Trump has publicly backed Musk and Tesla, reinforcing their political alliance.
