MSF Condemns Zionist Bombing Near Hospital in Beirut

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) condemned the Zionist shelling Sunday that targeted a densely populated residential area near a hospital in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, calling for the immediate protection of civilians and healthcare facilities.
In a statement, the organization reported that the Zionist forces struck a crowded neighborhood, resulting in a high volume of casualties.
MSF warned that strikes in close proximity to hospitals spread terror and threaten residents’ access to life-saving medical care.
During the first hour following the attack, four people were killed and approximately 40 others wounded, with fears of a rising death toll as rescue teams continue to clear the rubble.
“We are seeing elderly people and teenagers arriving with severe injuries to the head, chest, and abdomen, including shrapnel wounds,” said Luna Hammad, MSF coordinator in Lebanon.
Hammad added that bombing densely populated residential areas without warning leads to grave humanitarian consequences and places immense pressure on hospital response capacity.
MSF confirmed it has donated mass casualty management kits to the affected facilities and continues to support hospitals with medical expertise and essential supplies.
