Mozambique’s President Reaffirms Support for Sahrawi People’s Right to Self-Determination

Mozambique’s President Daniel Chapo reiterated his unwavering support for the Sahrawi people and their legitimate right to freedom, self-determination, and independence, emphasizing the importance of international action by allies in support of the just Sahrawi cause.

During a ceremony on Sunday to welcome and bid farewell to Sahrawi Ambassador Weddadi Ahmed Al-Heiba after the conclusion of his tenure as Extraordinary Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to Mozambique, the Mozambican leader reiterated his unconditional support for the Sahrawi people, their just cause, and their full right to freedom, self-determination, and independence.

Mozambique’s support for the Sahrawi Republic reflects the historical African commitment to the principle of decolonization and the inalienable rights of peoples to self-determination.
