Moroccan Political and Civil Groups Reiterate Calls to End Normalization with Zionist Entity

Moroccan political parties and civil society organizations have once again raised concerns about the dangers of normalization between the Moroccan regime and the Zionist entity, stressing that such actions go against the will of the Moroccan people, who reject all forms of normalization.
In a statement following a recent meeting, members of the Islamic Conference in Morocco warned that normalization with the Zionist regime poses a serious threat to regional security and stability. They emphasized the urgent need to sever all ties with what they described as a criminal entity.
“The recent aggression against Iran and the ongoing daily crimes in Gaza are clear evidence that normalization does not serve the Palestinian cause, nor does it protect Arab and Islamic countries from the threats posed by the Zionist usurper entity,” the statement read. “On the contrary, it weakens the collective Arab and Islamic stance.”
The members called for the annulment of all normalization agreements and the enactment of laws that criminalize normalization, preserve national sovereignty, and reflect the will of the people.
In a related development, the General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party reaffirmed its categorical rejection of all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity. The party called for heightened public vigilance to confront various forms of Zionist infiltration in Morocco’s commercial, academic, cultural, and artistic spheres.
In a statement, the party praised the efforts of Moroccan and international academic institutions that campaigned against the participation of Zionist researchers in the upcoming Fifth World Forum on Sociology, scheduled to be held at the University of Rabat from July 6 to 11.
It also commended the Moroccan Sociological Association for its principled stance in refusing to welcome participants affiliated with the Zionist regime, even in scientific or academic settings, out of respect for national commitments and the sentiments of the Moroccan people in light of the atrocities committed by the Zionist entity against Palestinians.
Similarly, the Moroccan Association “ATTAC” condemned widespread academic normalization in Moroccan universities under the pretext of academic cooperation. It pointed to the Polytechnic University of Benguerir as one of the earliest institutions to engage in such cooperation, even before the normalization agreements were officially signed.
The association cited the stance of the Moroccan Union of Higher Education, which denounced the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for involving academic institutions in normalization efforts under the guise of “academic and research partnerships.”
In conclusion, the association emphasized the need for comprehensive resistance to normalization and for the boycott of the Zionist entity from protesting the docking of Zionist ships in Moroccan ports to academic boycotts calling for the anti-normalization movement to extend across multiple sectors.
