Monsoon Rains and Flash Floods Kill 79 in Pakistan, Dozens Injured

At least 79 people have died and 140 others were injured in Pakistan since June 26 due to monsoon rains and sudden flash floods, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The highest number of casualties occurred in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where 29 deaths were reported, including 13 children.

Authorities have warned that more heavy rainfall is expected in the coming days and urged residents particularly those living in vulnerable or high-risk areas to take all necessary precautions.

The NDMA continues to monitor the situation and coordinate relief efforts as the country braces for further weather-related emergencies.
