Monarchs, Heads of State and Government, Prominent Figures Condole Algeria on Passing of Former President Liamine Zeroual

The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has received messages of condolence from several monarchs, heads of State and Government, and prominent figures following the passing of the former President of the Republic, the late Mujaheed Liamine Zeroual, hailing him as a “statesman of unwavering historical standing.” The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in his message to the President of the Republic, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased His vast mercy and to inspire the Algerian people with patience and solace.

For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and the Algerian people, praying that Almighty Allah grants the departed His mercy and the Algerian people strength and fortitude.

The President of the brotherly State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, speaking on behalf of himself and the Palestinian people, expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, paying tribute to the late President’s virtues and his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause throughout his life. President Abbas affirmed that Zeroual’s memory would endure in the hearts of the Palestinian people, praying for Allah’s boundless mercy upon him.

Furthermore, the President of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, conveyed his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to President Tebboune and the Algerian people, asking Almighty Allah to admit the deceased into His vast Paradise and bestow comfort upon his family.

The President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, also extended his sincere condolences to President Tebboune, expressing genuine sympathy to the late President’s family and the Algerian people over this immense loss.

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, joined in offering his sincere condolences to the President of the Republic, expressing his heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the Algerian people in this painful ordeal.
