Microsoft Expands Security Copilot with AI Agents for Autonomous Cybersecurity

One year after launching its AI-powered Security Copilot, Microsoft is enhancing the tool with AI agents to provide autonomous assistance to overwhelmed security teams. The company is introducing six AI agents for Security Copilot, alongside five developed by its partners.
Microsoft will preview its security agents next month, designed to manage phishing and data loss alerts, prioritize critical incidents, and monitor vulnerabilities. Corporate Vice President Vasu Jakkal stated that these agents will help teams handle high-volume security tasks while integrating with Microsoft Security solutions.
Additionally, Microsoft is collaborating with OneTrust, Aviatrix, BlueVoyant, Tanium, and Fletch to integrate third-party security agents. More cybersecurity updates are expected at the Microsoft Secure event on April 9.
