Mass Demonstrations in Argentina Condemn Gaza Genocide, Netanyahu’s Planned Visit

Thousands of Argentines flooded the streets of Buenos Aires in a massive demonstration organized by the Argentine Committee in Solidarity with the Palestinian People, condemning the genocide in Gaza and rejecting the government’s invitation to Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Protesters carried both Palestinian and Argentine flags, symbolizing unity, while banners denounced the Zionist entity’s ethnic cleansing, settlement expansion, aggression in the West Bank and Al-Quds, and the use of blockade and starvation against civilians. Many participants also carried images of slain civilians and journalists, as well as dolls wrapped in blood-stained shrouds representing Palestinian children killed in Zionist attacks.

The demonstrators demanded an end to the massacres, accountability for the Zionist entity’s crimes, and prosecution of its leaders before international courts. They strongly opposed Netanyahu’s potential visit to Argentina, calling for his immediate arrest upon arrival in accordance with international arrest warrants. The march showcased wide participation from civil society organizations, including trade unions, student and cultural unions, Arab and Jewish anti-Zionist groups, leftist political parties, and human rights organizations.

Speeches were delivered by representatives of the Federation of Argentine Palestinian Entities, the Palestinian community, and progressive parliamentarians, reaffirming solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting genocide, occupation, and annexation policies aimed at destroying prospects for peace.

The demonstrators reiterated their call for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital. Similar demonstrations took place across Argentina in Córdoba, Rosario, Santa Fe, Salta, Mar del Plata, Neuquén, and Ushuaia, reflecting a nationwide wave of solidarity with Palestine and rejection of Zionist occupation.
