Macron Extends Condolences Following the Passing of Former Algerian President Zeroual

The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, has extended his sincere condolences to the Algerian President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and to the Algerian people following the death of former President, the mujahid Liamine Zeroual, according to a statement from the Algerian Presidency.
In his message of condolence, President Macron affirmed that the late President Zeroual “will be remembered by history as a statesman who preserved the continuity of state institutions and restored dialogue during a difficult period that Algeria went through.”
The French President also reiterated, at the end of his message, his personal condolences to the President of the Republic, expressing his sympathy to the Algerian people in this time of mourning.
