Lebanon: The Zionist entity forces intensify devastating strikes on Beirut’s suburbs

The Zionist entity forces launched over 20 airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs and other areas of Lebanon on Saturday, following Friday’s massive bombardments on Dahiyeh, Reuters reported.
The occupation’s five hours of incessant strikes on Beirut on early Saturday are deemed a continuation of an “unprecedented” series of strikes the country has not experienced since 2006.
In addition to Bekaa Valley and various areas of southern Lebanon, the range of Zionist attacks kept stretching to reach other places. On Saturday, an airstrike pounded the Lebanese mountain town of Bhamdoun, southeast of Beirut, Lebanese lawmaker for the area Mark Daou told Reuters.
By far, the number of casualties since dawn has not been announced yet.
Thousands of people have fled the area since Friday’s attack, seeking shelter in squares, parks, and even sidewalks in downtown Beirut and seaside areas, where they rolled mats onto the ground in an attempt to sleep.
Lebanese health authorities confirmed six martyrs and 91 wounded on Friday, yet the toll is likely to be much higher.
Over the past week, the toll of martyrs exceeded 700, with around 100,000 people displaced since Monday.
On Thursday, the Zionist entity rejected a US and French proposal for a temporary 21-day truce. A day later, and less than two hours after Netanyahu spoke at the UN general assembly, a raid destroyed an entire residential block, razing four buildings to the ground in Beirut’s densely populated Haret Hreik suburb in Dahiyeh.
