Lebanon: Number of Displaced Lebanese Surpasses 800,000 (UN)

Over 800,000 Lebanese residents have been compelled to flee their homes due to aggression from Zionist forces, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Lebanon. The report was released on Thursday.
“Since October 8, 2023, we have recorded a total of 809,043 internally displaced persons, comprising 52% women and 48% men,” the report noted.
The UN agency further indicated that approximately 191,900 individuals are temporarily residing in 1,100 shelters, with 901 (or 82%) of these centers already reaching full capacity.
In total, including individuals of other nationalities, the Zionist attacks on Lebanon have resulted in more than 1.2 million displaced persons within the country, as reported by local authorities.
As for casualties, the toll has climbed to 2,574 martyrs and 12,001 injured since the onset of the Zionist aggression on October 8, 2023, as stated by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Wednesday evening.
