The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, said that the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip “must not be replicated in Lebanon.” “Across the region, and far beyond, civilians are enduring serious harm and living under profound insecurity. I witnessed some of these consequences firsthand during my recent visit to Lebanon,” the UN chief told the media on Wednesday.
“The Zionist entity must stop its military operations and strikes in Lebanon, which are hitting civilians the hardest,” he added.
“The Gaza model must not be replicated in Lebanon,” stressed Guterres.
In violation of the ceasefire that has been in force since late November 2024, the Zionist army continues its attacks against Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the aggression against Lebanon had reached 1,072 martyrs and 2,966 injured since March 2 this year.
