Lebanon: “Most severe” Zionist airstrikes on southern suburbs

BEIRUT – The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported five Zionist airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and its surroundings late Saturday night into Sunday, which were described as the “most severe” so far.
According to the Lebanese health ministry, the strikes targeted the villages and towns of Nabatieh, the eastern governorate of Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, Mount Lebanon, as well as the north, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 23 people, and 93 injuries.
The ambulances that rushed to the afflicted areas reported the presence of Zionist reconnaissance drones flying at low altitudes.
Since September 23, the residents of southern Lebanon have fled to other regions, including the north, which was also targeted on Saturday.
According to the health ministry, the toll of martyrs amounted to 2,036, in addition to 9,662 injuries.
