Leaders of South Korea, Japan, and the US reiterate their trilateral security cooperation

SEOUL- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, U.S. President Joe Biden, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida issued a joint statement on Sunday, marking the anniversary of their Camp David summit, and tackling the outcomes of their trilateral security cooperation.
The three leaders met on Aug. 18 last year, to reinforce military and economic cooperation. Accordingly, the summit paved the way to launch the trilateral multi-domain exercise Freedom Edge in June, in addition to the signing of a new Trilateral Security Cooperation Framework last month.
Now that President Joe Biden and PM Fumio Kishida are leaving office soon, cooperation between the three countries will remain on the ground, the official told the reporters.
