Lavrov: Russia Open to Dialogue Without Building Walls

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow is ready for honest dialogue with all countries without creating new divisions or “Berlin Walls.” Speaking at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), he stressed that Russia seeks cooperation on an equal and respectful basis.
Lavrov pointed to the talks in Alaska between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump as proof of this approach, contrasting it with the policies of former US President Joe Biden and certain European leaders. According to him, Trump’s administration has shown a readiness not only to listen but also to truly hear, including on sensitive issues such as Ukraine.
He added that resolving the Ukrainian crisis requires addressing its root causes and respecting all legitimate national interests. Lavrov also recalled President Putin’s long-standing prediction of an emerging multipolar world.
