The Air Algérie route connecting Algiers to Addis Ababa was relaunched on Thursday in the Ethiopian capital.
Algeria’s ambassador to Ethiopia and its permanent representative to the African Union (AU), Mohamed Khaled, along with embassy staff, presided over the ceremony welcoming the first flight at Addis Ababa airport.
This “historic step” comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening Algeria’s presence on the African continent and reinforcing the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Ethiopia, the statement added.
