La Liga: Olmo and Pau Cleared to Finish Season with Barça

The Spanish Sports Council (CSD) ruled in favor of FC Barcelona on Thursday, allowing Dani Olmo and Pau Victor—whose licenses were revoked by La Liga at the end of 2024—to continue playing until the conclusion of the season.
The CSD, which is tasked with resolving disputes among Barça, La Liga, and the Spanish Football Federation, stated in a press release that the mixed commission responsible for annulling the licenses of both players due to insufficient financial guarantees was incompetent.
As a result, the license revocation has been deemed “null and void” by the CSD, allowing Olmo, who was signed last summer for nearly €60 million, along with young Pau Victor, to participate fully in matches.
Both players were temporarily registered at the start of the season following an injury to Danish defender Andreas Christensen but were subsequently removed from the roster while Barça sought new revenue sources to comply with financial fair play regulations.
Earlier this January, the CSD had provisionally authorized Olmo and Victor to wear the blaugrana jersey as it deliberated on the matter.
