Kremlin : Zelenskyy Lacks Diplomatic Skills in White House Clash with Trump

Moscow – The Kremlin said on Monday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy demonstrated a “lack of diplomatic skills” during his heated exchange with US President Donald Trump at the White House last week. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the incident as “unprecedented,” asserting that Zelenskyy’s behavior highlighted his inability to engage in diplomatic discussions effectively.
Peskov argued that the Oval Office dispute underscored the challenges ahead for any potential settlement regarding Ukraine. He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about the exchange. According to Peskov, the confrontation further validated Putin’s stance that Moscow’s willingness to negotiate is obstructed by Kyiv’s reluctance to engage in meaningful talks.
The dispute took place last Friday at the White House, involving Zelenskyy, Trump, and US Vice President JD Vance. Trump reportedly criticized Zelenskyy’s approach, while the Ukrainian leader insisted on continued US support for his country. The clash occurred as European leaders gathered in London to reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
