Kremlin: Zelensky Must Decide Today to Withdraw Ukrainian Forces from Donbass

The Kremlin has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to make an immediate decision to withdraw Ukrainian forces from the Donbass region, stating that such a move could save many lives and bring an end to the active phase of the conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that this decision could mark a turning point toward de-escalation and pave the way for a broader political settlement, as fighting continues in eastern Ukraine.
Peskov also noted that the pause in trilateral talks on Ukraine is due to the United States being preoccupied with developments in the Middle East, which has led to a temporary slowdown in diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the crisis.
