Kremlin Seeks Clarity on Trump’s ‘Unknown Weapons’ Remark

The Kremlin said it is awaiting clarification on what US President Donald Trump meant by his claim that Washington possesses weapons “no one knows about,” stressing that further explanation is needed. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks in response to Trump’s comments in a recent interview with NewsNation, in which the US president suggested the existence of undisclosed American military capabilities.

Peskov also addressed diplomatic contacts surrounding the Ukraine conflict, confirming that a Russia–US meeting held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos was non-public. He said all issues related to a potential settlement of the Ukraine crisis discussed during such contacts remain confidential, adding that Moscow expects to receive information on the outcome of discussions between the United States, the European Union, and Ukraine in a timely manner.

According to Peskov, Russia wants to hear concrete proposals on a Ukraine settlement from Washington, Brussels, and Kyiv. He added that the Kremlin will keep the public informed about contacts with the United States “if and when they occur,” underscoring that Moscow continues to monitor developments closely amid ongoing diplomatic activity.
