Kremlin : Putin Oversees Routine Drill of Russia’s Strategic Nuclear Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin personally supervised a scheduled exercise of Russia’s strategic nuclear forces, the Kremlin announced Wednesday.
As part of the drill, a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome toward the Kura test range in Kamchatka, while Tu-95MS strategic bombers conducted air-launched cruise missile strikes.
Additionally, the strategic submarine cruiser Bryansk fired a Sineva ballistic missile from the Barents Sea. The exercise tested Russia’s nuclear command-and-control systems across land, air, and naval components, confirming the readiness and coordination of the country’s deterrence forces.
