Kremlin : No Demilitarized Zone Proposal Received from Kiev

Moscow has not received any proposals from Ukraine regarding the creation of a demilitarized zone along the front line, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday, responding to recent remarks by U.S. Presidential Envoy Keith Kellogg.
Kellogg had stated that Kiev was prepared to accept a 30-day ceasefire and freeze hostilities along the line of contact, contingent on the establishment of a 30-kilometer-wide demilitarized buffer zone. However, Peskov dismissed this, saying, “We have not heard a single statement to this effect from Kiev.”
The comment suggests that Moscow is not currently engaged in any ceasefire negotiations based on Kellogg’s claims, further indicating a lack of official communication or initiative from the Ukrainian side.
