Kremlin Confirms US Delegation in Moscow for Talks on Ukraine

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that a US delegation is set to engage in discussions with Russian officials in Moscow on Thursday, marking a significant diplomatic exchange amid ongoing tensions over Ukraine.
Peskov stated that Russia is in the process of analyzing information received from Washington regarding recent negotiations in Jeddah. He noted that US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz had spoken with Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov on Wednesday, sharing details on the matter. Additionally, US special envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Moscow earlier in the day, reportedly scheduled to meet with President Vladimir Putin.
While declining to speculate on Russia’s stance ahead of the talks, Peskov reaffirmed that Moscow will not compromise on territorial issues. He dismissed media claims about Russia presenting Washington with a list of demands for a deal on Ukraine, calling most such reports inaccurate. Meanwhile, Ukraine has signaled openness to a proposed 30-day ceasefire, with the US maintaining that the next move is up to Russia.
