Kim Jong-un Reaffirms North Korea’s Alignment With Russia

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reaffirmed his country’s alignment with Russia, declaring that “Pyongyang will always be with Moscow” in a message addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In his reply, Kim highlighted what he described as “strong mutual support and assistance” and “firm relations and trust” between the two nations, emphasizing that the partnership reflects a deliberate and enduring strategic choice. “This is our choice and unshakable will,” he stated.

The message came after Putin congratulated Kim on his reelection as chairman of North Korea’s State Affairs Commission, underscoring the continued strengthening of ties between Moscow and Pyongyang amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.
