
Algerian gymnast Kaylia Nemour secured silver on the balance beam at the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, currently underway in Cottbus, Germany, following Sunday afternoon’s final.
The 19-year-old scored 13.833, having topped the qualification round with 14.600, ahead of Russia’s Milana Kaiumova (13.866) and Germany’s Marie Quaas (13.400).
On the uneven bars, her signature event, the 2024 Olympic champion successfully debuted a new element, now listed in the Code of Points as the “Nemour 2.” Following the German leg, the World Cup circuit heads to Baku (Azerbaijan), Antalya (Turkiye), Cairo (Egypt) and Osijek (Croatia), before concluding in Doha, Qatar, from 14 to 18 April.
