Japan Airlines Plane Collides with Delta Aircraft at Seattle-Tacoma Airport

A Japan Airlines plane collided with the tail of a parked Delta Airlines aircraft while landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington, authorities reported on Thursday. This incident follows a deadly crash the previous week involving a passenger plane and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, which claimed 67 lives.
Airport authorities responded swiftly, evacuating passengers from the affected aircraft. “All passengers from Japan Airlines flight 68 and Delta Air Lines flight 1921 were deplaned… Response crews were working to move the aircraft off the ramp taxiway,” the airport authorities shared on X.
Delta Airlines spokesperson Samantha Moore-Facto explained that the Boeing 737 was waiting for de-icing when the wingtip of another plane made contact with its tail. There were 142 passengers aboard Delta flight 1921, which was bound for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and they were transferred to another plane. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported to the crew or passengers.
