Italy Summons Zionist Ambassador Following Attack on Diplomatic Convoy

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Wednesday that the ambassador of the Zionist entity will be summoned to provide “an official explanation” following gunfire from the occupying forces that targeted diplomats in the occupied West Bank.
“I have just instructed (…) to summon the ambassador (of Zionist entity) to obtain official clarification regarding the events in Jenin,” he wrote in a social media post after previously condemning the “unacceptable” threats.
“We are requesting immediate clarification from the occupying authorities regarding what transpired. Threats against diplomats are unacceptable,” he stated.
Italian Vice Consul Alessandro Tutino, who is “doing well” and with whom the minister has spoken, was “among the diplomats” targeted near the Jenin refugee camp, Tajani added.
