Italy : Fuel Depot Explosion Near Florence Leaves Two Dead, Three Missing

An explosion at a fuel depot near Florence, Italy, claimed at least two lives and left eight others injured, according to local reports on Monday. The blast also left three individuals unaccounted for, as Tuscany Governor Eugenio Giani announced ongoing rescue and relief efforts.

Eni, the company operating the depot, clarified that the fuel tanks were not directly impacted. However, firefighters are actively battling to contain the flames, which continue to pose a risk.

Authorities have urged residents to keep their windows shut as a precautionary measure against smoke and the potential for further explosions, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
