Iran’s Military Chief Vows Response to US Strikes on Nuclear Sites, Targets Netanyahu

TEHRAN – Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, warned Monday that the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities “will not go unanswered,” declaring that the attack marked a turning point in Tehran’s confrontation with both Washington and Tel Aviv.
“Regardless of the extent of the damage incurred, the very nature of this crime will not go unanswered,” Mousavi said in a recorded statement, referring to Saturday’s U.S. bombing of the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, ordered by President Donald Trump.
Mousavi accused Trump of acting out of “desperation” to support the Zionist entity, calling the strikes a lifeline for embattled Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “When Trump saw the signs of defeat in Netanyahu, he decided to give him artificial respiration with this action,” he said.
Tehran, he warned, will respond to Zionist attacks in a way proportional to the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. “The punishment of Netanyahu will continue with full force until he is brought to destitution,” Mousavi declared, threatening further retaliation.
The U.S. bombing campaign came amid an ongoing Zionist military aggression on Iran that began on June 13. According to Iranian authorities, 430 people have been killed and over 3,500 wounded in the Zionist strikes.
