The Islamic Republic of Iran confirmed its support to any initiative that includes stopping ethnic cleansing and war crimes against humanity in Gaza, stressing that it will provide the basis for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, said a communiqué from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Iranian Foreign Ministry has always welcomed any initiative to stop ethnic cleansing and war crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip, and ensure the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination,” said the source.
According to the statement, “the Islamic Republic of Iran further welcomes any decision aimed at ending the Zionist genocide, allowing the entry of humanitarian aids, and the reconstruction of Gaza Strip.” However, Iran stressed that “the end of genocide in Gaza will not invalidate the responsibility of governments to condemn the crimes of the Zionist occupier and prosecute their perpetrators,”
