Iran Warns U.S. Interference in Internal Protests Would Spread Chaos Across the Region

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, warned that any U.S. interference in Iran’s internal protests would lead to widespread chaos across the region and the destruction of American interests.

Larijani made the remarks on Friday in response to what U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his platform “Truth Social,” in which Trump warned that Washington would intervene if Iran used lethal force against peaceful protesters.

Writing on the social media platform X, Larijani said: “Trump must realize that any American intervention in this internal matter will destabilize the entire region and destroy U.S. interests.”

He added: “The American people should know that Trump is the one who started this adventure, and they should pay attention to the safety of their soldiers.”

In the same context, Ali Shamkhani, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned that any U.S. intervention would cross a “red line.”

Shamkhani wrote on X: “Iran’s national security is a red line and is not a subject for reckless tweets.”
