Iran-US: 5th Round of Nuclear Talks to Take Place in Rome on Friday

The next round of negotiations between the United States and Iran regarding Iran’s nuclear program is set to take place this Friday in Rome. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Bussaidi, who is mediating the discussions between the two countries.

“The fifth round of indirect talks between the United States and Iran will be held in Rome on Friday, May 23,” al-Bussaidi posted on social media.

Washington and Tehran began significant discussions about the Iranian nuclear issue on April 12, with mediation from the Sultanate of Oman.

Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi mentioned that Tehran is considering the possibility of participating in the upcoming round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States, according to the official Iranian news agency IRNA.
