Iran to Hold New Nuclear Talks with EU Countries in January 2025

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the second round of nuclear talks with European Union countries will take place in January 2025.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, the discussions will involve Iran and the three European nations—France, Germany, and the United Kingdom—and will focus on nuclear issues and developments in the West Asia region.

In a related development, Iran recently called on Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to maintain the agency’s impartiality.

Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, responded to Grossi’s recent comments about Iran’s uranium enrichment levels, which were described as nearing military-grade.

Grossi, speaking to the Italian news agency ANSA in Rome, dismissed efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), stating that it was no longer relevant and that a new agreement should be developed given the “new realities” of Iran’s nuclear program.
