Iran Reaffirms Commitment to Nuclear Enrichment, Slams Western Policies

MOSCOW — Iran remains determined to preserve its nuclear fuel cycle and uranium enrichment capabilities, while staying open to diplomatic dialogue, said Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, during the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues in Moscow.

Speaking on the need for a balanced and durable global security order, Ahmadian harshly criticized what he called Western “unilateralism,” blaming it for regional instability across West Asia. He listed conflicts in Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq as outcomes of exploitative foreign intervention and denounced ongoing Zionist assault on Gaza as an “unprecedented crime.”

“The foundation of the West’s unilateralist policy is built on the oppression and exploitation of nations,” he said, warning that women and children in Gaza are not only being killed, but also subjected to slow starvation.

Ahmadian also accused hegemonic powers of using sanctions and advanced technology to strip nations of sovereign rights, including Iran’s pursuit of peaceful nuclear energy. He emphasized that Iran will not yield to pressure aimed at dismantling its legitimate scientific and technological progress.
