Iran : President Pezeshkian reinstates Mohammad Eslami as AEOI Chief

TEHRAN – The newly elected Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, appointed Eslami as his deputy and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) in a decree issued on Saturday, retaining thus the job he was appointed to under the previous administration of late president Ebrahim Raisi.
Mohammad Eslami, 67, served before as deputy defense minister, and managing director of the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), in addition to other positions throughout various Iranian administrations.
