Iran: Oil minister ‘not worried about crisis’ amid Zionist threats

Iran’s oil minister Mohsen Paknejad said on Saturday that he was “not worried” about the Zionist plan to exacerbate the crisis in the region, according to the ministry’s Shana news site.
Paknejad’s statement was made during a visit to Assaluyeh, the energy capital of Iran, amid Zionist threats of targeting Iranian oil facilities in a circle of retaliatory attacks, which seem to put the region on the brink of a wider Mideast war.
With violence spiralling in the region, oil prices are expected to witness a spike, affecting the international economy that is still in the process of recovering from the Covid pandemic, as well as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The price of crude oil has risen to almost 10% this week to around $78 a barrel, following the recent Zionist escalation in the region.
