Iran Issues Stark Warning Against Aggression, Signals Readiness for Fair Nuclear Deal

Iran has warned that any act of aggression against its territory will be met with an “immediate and powerful” response, as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that the country’s armed forces remain on full readiness to defend national sovereignty. His remarks underline Tehran’s determination to deter external threats amid heightened regional and international tensions.
At the same time, Araghchi emphasized that Iran has not closed the door to diplomacy, reaffirming its openness to a “mutually beneficial, fair and equitable” nuclear agreement. He insisted, however, that any deal must be negotiated on equal footing and remain free from coercion, threats, or intimidation, signaling Iran’s rejection of pressure-based approaches.
Reiterating Tehran’s long-standing position, Araghchi said Iran seeks only peaceful nuclear technology and categorically ruled out the pursuit of nuclear weapons, stating that such arms “have no place” in Iran’s security doctrine. He added that Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons, framing the country’s nuclear program as purely civilian and defensive in nature.
