Iran is preparing for Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit, Tehran says

Iran is preparing for a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iran’s government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani was quoted by Russia’s state RIA news agency as saying on Monday.
“Putin’s trip to Tehran is currently being worked out, preparations are underway,” Mohajerani was quoted as saying by RIA. There was no immediate comment from the Kremlin.
Separately, fresh talks between Iranian and U.S. negotiators to resolve disputes over Tehran’s nuclear programme ended in Oman on Sunday, with further negotiations planned in the near future.
Last week, the Russian president discussed the progress of talks between Iran and the United States with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, expressing Russia’s readiness to facilitate dialogue and reach a “fair agreement.”
