Iran Intensifies Its Response to Zionist Aggression

The Zionist entity has continued its attacks against Iran for the seventh consecutive day as of Thursday. In response, Iran has heightened its retaliation by deploying advanced missiles and emphasized that it “acts solely in a state of legitimate defense.”
In a message posted on social media, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi articulated his country’s position regarding the aggression from the Zionist entity, reiterating the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program. “Iran acts solely in a state of legitimate defense,” Araghchi stated.
“Iran will continue to exercise its right to legitimate defense with pride and courage, ensuring that the aggressor will regret and pay for its serious error,” he asserted, echoing President Massoud Pezeshkian’s earlier remarks that the Iranian response “will make the aggressor regret its attacks.”
The Iranian minister also underscored that, in contrast to the Zionist entity, “we remain committed to diplomacy. As always, we are serious and focused on the future.” Regarding the nuclear issue, he reiterated that Iran “has never sought and will never seek to acquire nuclear weapons.”
It is important to note that Araghchi recently accused the Zionist entity of attempting to “derail” negotiations over the nuclear issue with the United States through its aggression against Iran. Meanwhile, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister declared on Thursday that “all options are open” should the Zionist aggression against Iran escalate further.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated on Wednesday that Iran “will not submit” and firmly opposes an imposed war, just as it will resist an imposed peace.
On the seventh day of hostilities, Iran launched another barrage of advanced missiles at the Zionist entity as part of its operation “Honest Promise 3,” initiated in retaliation for the ongoing attacks, according to several Iranian media outlets. The Iranian military reported that it specifically targeted a Zionist military and intelligence base.
In response, the Zionist army continued its assaults by destroying the “internal security headquarters” in Tehran on Wednesday and targeting “military sites” within the Iranian capital. On the same day, the Iranian Red Crescent announced a Zionist attack near its facility, and state media reported a strike near the police headquarters in Tehran. Additionally, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicated that the Zionist army had destroyed two centrifuge production buildings near Tehran on Wednesday.
In response, the Security Council convenes on Friday – The Zionist aggression launched on June 13 against Iran continues to provoke concern and outrage from various countries and international organizations around the globe.
State Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmed Attaf received a phone call on Wednesday from Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, during which both expressed “deep concern over the serious escalation in the region,” according to a ministry statement. They also called on the UN Security Council to “take urgent measures, in accordance with its responsibilities,” as per the same source.
Turkey, represented by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, condemned the international silence in the face of Zionist aggression in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza and Iran.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his “deep alarm” regarding the military escalation in the Middle East between the Zionist entity and Iran, cautioning that the conflict could expand and involve additional countries.
He warned, “Any additional military interventions could have enormous consequences, not only for those involved but for the whole region and for international peace and security at large.”
In response to the ongoing Zionist aggression against Iran, the UN Security Council is set to convene once again on Friday to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East. This meeting was announced by the Guyana mission, which is currently presiding over the Council for the month of June.
Following an emergency session last week, this new meeting—scheduled for Friday at 10:00 AM (14:00 GMT)—was requested by Iran, according to a diplomatic source.
