Iran Expands Drone Strikes on U.S. Bases Across the Gulf

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced a new wave of attacks targeting U.S. military positions across the Gulf, signaling a sharp escalation in the ongoing confrontation. According to the statement, the strikes were carried out using kamikaze drones and focused on multiple strategic locations, including areas near Arifjan, Al-Kharj, and a U.S. supply depot, underscoring the widening geographic scope of the conflict.
Among the notable targets were a Patriot air defense radar station and a base hosting P-8 reconnaissance aircraft in the Sheikh Isa area, in addition to fuel depots supporting U.S. military operations. The strikes also reportedly targeted airfields used for MQ-9 drones, aiming to disrupt aerial surveillance and strike capabilities that have played a central role in U.S. operations in the region.
Further attacks were directed at a satellite communication station in the Ali Al Salem area, highlighting an apparent focus on degrading command-and-control infrastructure. This latest escalation reflects a shift toward systematically targeting logistical and technological assets, suggesting an attempt by Tehran to undermine the operational effectiveness of U.S. forces while expanding the theater of confrontation across the Gulf.
