Iran Denies Involvement in Alleged Zionist Embassy Plot in London

Tehran has strongly denied any Iranian involvement in an alleged plot to target the Zionist embassy in London, calling media reports on the matter suspicious and urging the UK to ensure transparency and due process. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi issued the statement on Thursday, categorically rejecting claims of Iranian nationals’ involvement.
In a post on his official X account, Araqchi stated, “Iran in no uncertain terms categorically rejects any involvement in such actions and confirms that we have not been informed of any allegations via proper diplomatic channels.” He added that the Iranian government has requested engagement from British authorities to investigate the matter transparently, but noted the timing and lack of official communication raise concerns.
Araqchi also warned that third parties may be attempting to sabotage diplomatic efforts through false flag operations, suggesting that the allegations could be part of a broader provocation meant to derail ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States—talks which the Zionist entity has openly opposed.
Earlier this week, British police arrested eight individuals, including seven Iranian nationals, on suspicion of terrorism-related offenses. The arrests came as Iran and the U.S. continue negotiations that some analysts believe could be targeted by foreign interference.
Meanwhile, the Iranian embassy in London reported that Ambassador Ali Mousavi recently met with UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary Hamish Falconer. The embassy said the two sides reaffirmed their mutual respect for sovereignty, international law, and non-interference, while also addressing the arrests and ongoing diplomatic issues. The British side reportedly assured Iran that the arrested individuals would receive fair treatment and due process.
