International Civil Service Commission to organise interregional workshop in Algeria

ALGIERS – The International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, will host an interregional workshop from January 26 to 30 in Algeria on topics such as salaries, allowances, duty station classification, staff mobility, and other issues within the Commission’s scope of responsibility, according to a ministry statement on Saturday.

This annual workshop, organised in collaboration with UN staff organizations and federations following the geographic rotation rule, “provides a platform for the ICSC to showcase its work and role within the United Nations system. It will include presentations and informal discussions on its methods and policies,” the statement said.

This edition, the first to be held in Algeria, will feature the participation of more than 80 international officials from 23 international and regional organizations, as well as senior officials from Algerian institutions, the statement added.
