ICC Arrest Warrant for Gallant Overshadows US Visit Amid Protests

An arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for former Zionist war Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes in Gaza has cast a shadow over his current visit to the United States. Last month, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Gallant and Netanyahu, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Gallant, who was dismissed from his position on November 6, started his visit to the US earlier this month to hold talks with US officials on the ongoing aggression on Gaza and broader regional developments. During his visit, he met with US Middle East envoy Brett McGurk at the White House.
However, Gallant’s visit has been met with protests. On December 5, demonstrators gathered outside the Park Lane Hotel in New York, where Gallant was staying, demanding his arrest.
The protests and the arrest warrant highlight the growing international backlash against Zionist actions in Gaza, which have resulted in over 44,800 deaths, mostly among women and children. The Zionist entity also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
