IATF 2025 : President Tebboune Affirms Africa Is the Future

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed on Thursday at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Centre in Algiers, during the official opening of the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), that Africa is the future and Algeria will be an active partner in meeting the continent’s development challenges.
In his address at the continental event, the President declared that “Africa is the future,” emphasizing Algeria’s commitment to playing a key role in advancing Africa’s development. He expressed pride in Algeria hosting this edition of the fair, which he noted is taking place in “a highly delicate and sensitive global context, marked by unprecedentedly rapid developments.”
The President highlighted the growing risks threatening the collapse of the current system of international relations, stressing that it is now under threat in its very essence, its values, and its political, security, and even economic institutions. He voiced concern that Africa could once again become “one of the main victims of these deteriorating circumstances,” recalling the marginalization of Africa’s voice and role in reshaping the global order, despite its vast resources and potential.
From this perspective, Tebboune underlined that today’s gathering is “not merely an economic exhibition, but the embodiment of a collective awareness driving us all to build an integrated continent — a continent of strong will, and an active player in its regional and international environment.” At the conclusion of his speech, he officially declared the opening of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair.
