IATF 2025: Algeria Showcases Tourism Potential to Boost Continental and Global Appeal

The four Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF 2025), being held at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers, the fair showcases Algeria’s unique tourism potential and provides an opportunity to promote it on a large scale, to enhance Algeria’s position as a tourist destination, both at the continental and global levels.
The event, through which Algeria aims to diversify its economy, is not only a space for building economic partnerships between African investors, as it also extends to tourism as an important lever on which Algeria is banking for its transition to a sustainable economy, free from dependence on hydrocarbons.
The Director General of the National Tourism Office (ONT), Abdelhamid Ouari, told APS that the turnout for the IATF 2025, with nearly 35,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from various African countries, in addition to the foreign media covering the event, made the Algiers edition “an ideal opportunity to promote Algeria as a tourist destination par excellence.”
As part of the new strategy developed by the tourism and crafts sector to promote Algeria’s tourist attractions, particularly in terms of Saharan tourism, the National Tourism Office has drawn up an integrated promotion plan for the African event, aimed at introducing its African brothers to Algeria’s unique tourist potential.
