HRW: Zionist Entity’s Forced Displacement in Gaza Constitutes War Crimes

Human Rights Watch has accused the Zionist entity of engaging in widespread forced displacement in Gaza, describing the actions as potential war crimes. According to a 154-page report titled “Desperate, Starving, and Trapped: The Zionist Entity’s Forced Displacement of Palestinians in Gaza,” the organization claims that over 90% of Gaza’s population—approximately 1.9 million Palestinians—has been displaced in the past 13 months, amidst massive destruction of the region.
The report highlights deliberate demolitions of homes and civilian infrastructure by Zionist forces, especially in areas targeted for the creation of buffer zones and security corridors, which are expected to result in permanent displacement. Human Rights Watch asserts that, contrary to the Zionist entity’s officials’ claims, these actions violate international war laws.
The organization further stated that the Zionist entity’s conduct has led to significant forced displacement, contradicting its claims of lawful evacuation. It pointed out that no safe areas remain in Gaza, as the Zionist military repeatedly attacked designated “safe zones.”
Human Rights Watch condemned the Zionist entity’s actions, saying that the Zionist government cannot claim to protect Palestinian civilians while simultaneously killing them along escape routes, bombing so-called safe areas, and cutting off essential supplies like food, water, and sanitation.
The report calls on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the Zionist entity for crimes against humanity, particularly forced displacement and obstruction of Palestinians’ right to return to their homes in Gaza. Human Rights Watch emphasized that the Zionist entity must respect the right of displaced Palestinians to return to their homes.
