Heatwave in Japan: One Dead and 100 Hospitalized

A heatwave affecting various regions across Japan has resulted in one death and the hospitalization of 100 individuals, according to local media reports on Friday.
“On Thursday, at least 100 people, aged between 11 and 97, were admitted to hospitals in Tokyo with symptoms consistent with heatstroke. Tragically, a nonagenarian passed away in Ikeda City, located in Osaka Prefecture,” the sources reported.
Just last Tuesday, at least four fatalities were recorded in the Kanto region due to similar symptoms.
Several areas, including Kofu City in central Japan, Takasaki in Gunma Prefecture, Tokyo, and Shizuoka City on the southern coast, are currently grappling with this severe heatwave.
