Hamas weighs its response to Trump’s 20-point Gaza plan

Hamas said Tuesday it will discuss U.S. President Donald Trump’s “peace plan for Gaza” within the group and with other Palestinian factions before responding.
On Monday, Trump unveiled a 20-point plan to end the Zionist occupation’s war on Gaza during a press conference at the White House, which was welcomed by several countries, including the Palestinian Authority.
Meanwhile in the besieged enclave, the occupation’s genocidal war has killed at least 66,055 Palestinians and wounded 168,346 others since October 2023. Thousands more are believed to be buried under the rubble.
Separately, the United Nations says it’s prepared to increase aid deliveries into Gaza whenever possible, following months of severely limited access for U.N. agencies and their partners due to restrictions imposed by the Zionist occupation.
Jens Laerke, a spokesman for U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said the U.N. stands “ready and prepared and capable to increase aid deliveries inside Gaza, whenever the opportunity is such that we are allowed to do so and the … safety and security of doing so is there indeed.”
