Hamas : The American statements do not Reflect the True Position of the Movement
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in a Tuesday statement that “Biden and Blinken’s statements are misleading claims and do not reflect the true position of the movement, which is keen to reach a cessation of aggression”. Hamas added : “We followed with great astonishment and disapproval the statements issued by US President Joe Biden, in which he claimed that the Movement is backing away from the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, hours after his Secretary of State Blinken called on the movement to accept the latest proposal”
Hamas considered these statements a renewed American green light for the government of zionist extremists to commit more crimes against defenseless civilians, and in pursuit of the goals of committing genocide against and displacing the Palestinian people.
The Islamic Resistance Movement stressed on what was recently presented to the movement constitutes a coup against what the parties reached on July 2nd, based on Biden’s own declaration on May 31st and Security Council Resolution 2735 on June 11th, and is considered an American response and acquiescence to the Zionist entity’s new conditions and its criminal plans towards the Gaza Strip.
According to Hamas, the mediators know that the movement dealt positively and responsibly in all previous rounds of negotiations, and that the occupation was always the one obstructing reaching an agreement and setting new conditions and demands.
Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to what they agreed upon with the mediators on July 2nd, based on Biden’s declaration and the Security Council resolution, and they called on the mediators to assume their responsibilities and oblige the occupation to accept it.
Hamas called on the US administration to reverse its policy of blind bias towards the zionist war criminals, lift the political and military cover for the genocide war waged by the fascist occupation army against our unarmed people in the Gaza Strip, and work seriously to stop it.
