Greta Thunberg Among Activists Kidnapped by Zionist Forces on Gaza-Bound Aid Ship

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS – Zionist naval forces intercepted the Gaza-bound aid ship Madleen late Sunday and detained all activists aboard, according to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. The international NGO behind the mission reported on Telegram: “SOS! the volunteers on ‘Madleen’ have been kidnapped by Israeli forces.”

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, who had been in phone contact with the ship’s captain, confirmed that Zionist forces boarded the vessel while it was in international waters. She noted that the captain had reported no injuries among the crew before the call abruptly ended, with Zionist voices audible in the background. “I lost connection with the captain as he was telling me that another boat is approaching,” Albanese said.

The 18-meter Madleen had departed Sicily’s Port of San Giovanni Li Cuti on June 1 as part of a Freedom Flotilla Coalition mission to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver essential humanitarian aid. The Zinoist officials claimed the vessel was warned to avoid a “restricted area,” but footage released before contact was lost showed Zionist boats surrounding the ship and ordering activists to surrender.

Among the 12 people onboard were Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, French-Palestinian MEP Rima Hassan, journalist Omar Faiad of Al Jazeera Mubasher, and other human rights defenders from Europe, Brazil, and Turkey. The ship carried critical supplies including baby formula, medical items, water kits, and children’s prosthetics for the besieged population of Gaza.
